Mini-Mix Concrete Delivery
Ready-mix concrete in smaller wagons, built for domestic driveways, tight access and small loads. From 1m³ minimum with no part-load surcharge.
The Short Answer
What is mini-mix concrete?
Mini-mix concrete is ready-mix concrete delivered in smaller wagons (4m³ or 6m³ instead of the standard 8m³ or 10m³) so it can reach domestic driveways, narrow streets and tight-access plots. The mix itself is identical to our standard ready-mix, same BSI Kitemark batch, same BS EN 206 / BS 8500 spec, same plant. The difference is the wagon.
When to Use Mini-Mix
Mini-mix is the right choice when…
Domestic driveway access
Your gate is 2.5m wide and a standard 8-wheeler won't fit. A 4m³ mini-mix wagon will.
Small volume needed
A shed base, garden path, hot tub pad, or a few dozen fence posts. 1-4m³ pours don't justify a full wagon.
Tight urban streets
Terraced streets, mews developments, town-centre plots, places a full-size wagon can't manoeuvre.
Sensitive surfaces
Block paving or a freshly laid drive can't take the weight of a fully loaded 26-tonne wagon. Mini-mix loads ~12 tonnes.
Mixed access route
Gravel track, tight bend, or low overhead branches. Mini-mix wagons are shorter and lighter, fewer surprises.
First-time concrete buyers
Most DIY pours are 1-2m³. Mini-mix is built for this exact volume range, no part-load surcharge.
How It Works
Order, deliver, pour, in three steps
Order online

We deliver
Mini-mix wagon arrives in your booked slot. Driver positions the chute and confirms volume on a volumetric load.
You pour
Discharge straight off the chute or barrow to the pour point. Volumetric loads are billed for actual volume poured, not what was batched.

FAQ
Common questions about mini-mix concrete
What is mini-mix concrete?
Mini-mix concrete is ready-mix concrete delivered in smaller wagons (typically 4m³ or 6m³ rather than the standard 8m³ or 10m³) so it can reach domestic driveways, narrow streets and tight-access plots. The mix itself is identical to standard ready-mix, same BS EN 206 / BS 8500 quality, same plant, just delivered in a smaller wagon.
What's the minimum order for mini-mix concrete?
1m³ on most domestic deliveries, with no small-load surcharge. 1m³ is enough for a small shed base, a few dozen fence posts, or a domestic path. Below 1m³ you're usually better off with bagged concrete from a builders' merchant.
Mini-mix vs standard ready-mix, what's the difference?
The concrete is identical, same mix, same plant, same BSI Kitemark batch ticket. The wagon is the difference: a mini-mix wagon is shorter, narrower and lighter, so it can reach domestic driveways, gravel tracks and tight urban streets that an 8-wheeler can't. For domestic pours under 4m³, mini-mix is almost always the right choice.
How much does mini-mix concrete cost?
Mini-mix concrete prices in the UK typically range from around £121-£201/m³ delivered, depending on the mix grade and your distance from the plant. There's no part-load surcharge on 1m³+ orders. See our pricing guide for typical ranges by mix grade, or use the online order tool for a live quote with VAT and delivery included.
Can mini-mix concrete reach my driveway?
Almost always, yes. Our mini-mix wagons need a 2.5m-wide access route minimum (typical domestic gate width) and roughly 3m headroom. If your access is tighter than that, narrow alleys, rear gardens, basements, we'll arrange a pump as part of the booking. Tell us your access details when you order.
